I'm hoping to finish up the stun gun used by the gang this weekend for my Ianto cosplay and figured I'd share with the class incase anyone else wants one. Jack uses it in 'They Keep Killin' Suzie' Ianto uses it in 'Meat' And I have to say, to date, it has been the easiest prop I've built: I used a great tutorial from Coz over on the RPF forum (Coz builds AMAZING stuff, check out his gallery), the bulk of the project is carefully deconstructing an air drill, and not getting the grease all over yourself. It takes a little bit of man power, and some power tools, but is generally easy-peasy. I am about 70% finished. Just have the decals, grip base, and contact plate to add. When it is all said and done, it'll be under $30 and about 2 hours of work (45 min of that standing around chatting over a cuppa in my buddy's blacksmithing shop). I do have the option of adding electrics to make the ends flash, I'm considering using these cool things.

That looks so great. What'd you use for the decals?

That looks so great. What'd you use for the decals? Thanks! Once I made sure everything was to correct scale, I went the cheap & easy route and had glossy prints made at Walmart. After that, I 'sealed' them with clear packing tape, carefully cut each out with an Xacto knife, and apply with glue. In the future, I will spend the 'bigger' bucks and have them made directly into stickers/decals so I can avoid the odd loose edges. The speed in which I do that will depend on how well they hold up at a few cons I have coming up.
