I just wanted to wish everyone here a happy and safe Hallowe'en!
I'll be at home with my hubby watching a good movie and giving out candy to the kids who stop by. I'm thinking of dressing in costume, but not sure of what to wear as of yet. At our Hallowe'en party Saturday I was Abby from NCIS, but I'm thinking of doing something else. Ideas?
What's everyone doing tonight?

I see my best friend once a week so last night we did Halloween stuff when we got together because who wants to act like a grown up all the time. Tonight I'll be at home, I only just moved to the area so I don't know if we get trick or treaters, I'll probably pick up some sweets on the way home because I've been caught out sweetless before and ended up with my car covered in flour.

See, this is why I don't like Hallowe'en. People come to your door, and ask for confectionary in exchange for not sabotaging some part of your property. I'm fully aware I'm sounding like a grumpy spoilsport, but just because someone's wearing a costume doesn't mean they're entitled to be able to do that. I'd be very much in favour of an opt-in policy; sticker in the window says trick or treaters are welcome, no sticker means don't visit.

You're definitely a grump =p I'm only erring on the side of caution because we're not too far from a permanent traveller site, since they didn't feel it was a big deal to steal not only our hanging baskets but also our guard dog (yes really) I'd rather be prepared with sweets. Plus if nobody comes round we'll have a stash of chocolate...

Yeah, I can understand that if they have no qualms about stealing from you, then the sweets are a small price to pay, but it's still effectively no different from the protection rackets you see in gangster films.

I usually hand out candy since the family who live on the front of the the lot I live on has 5 kids and they like to go out trick o' treating. The chill, rainy weather off the bay (a bit like Cardiff actually) makes Jack and his coat a must this year.

Wow, Trick-Or-Treaters are mean where you guys live. It's illegal in many places here to vandalize anymore. If you get caught that is, lol.

I'll be down the next street over helping out at a Trunk or Treat. I usually *go* to get candy, but this year we volunteered (hopefully I still get some). I'm going to be Catwoman and unfortunately, it's a horribly made store bought costume, because we only decided on what I was going to do a couple of days ago. xD We usually have a party though, but it's fell through the past few years. Oh, well. Maybe next year!

Oh I totally forgot! Please share your Whovian pumpkins if you have any you've carved! Here's my meager attempt:

I'm staring at my pile of cosplays trying to decide what to throw on today. I'm not sure if we'll get trick or treaters since we live in an apartment (it's our first Halloween here), so it might just end up being the boyfriend and I and I scary movie.
We're trying to throw together a belated Halloween party for a few friends on Saturday, and we're going to be Marty and Dana from Cabin in the Woods. Which reminds me, I've got a prop coffee cup bong to finish!

That's the problem with being a cosplayer. You have all these different ones, and it's so hard to choose which one to do!

I don't really have anything set in stone as of yet. My mom and I were going to try to drive up to see my sister at her college, but that fell through so I'm still trying to figure out what's happening today. And all my possible plans depend on other people pretty much so all that's in flux. I might see if one of my parents can take me somewhere like the college campus nearby so I can just kind of walk around and look at costumes, or I might just wait and see if a friend of mine has plans and maybe see if I can crash them. Or I might tag along with my younger neighbor if she goes trick-or-treating, or maybe just see what Halloween movie they're showing on Disney Channel and reminisce and such things. I'm dressed up now though, blue (fake) leather jacket and all, though my hair's a pain. I might post a picture later if I can get someone to take a decent one.
Oh, and Happy Halloween! Stay safe, and have lots of fun with whatever you end up doing!

I don't do Halloween. I got attacked and shot with a BB pellet gun 10 years ago and I'm still afraid to be out past 4pm on Halloween. On the upside, I get to dress up at work on Saturday in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust, so I'm dressing as the first attempt of my Black Swan cosplay(pointe shoes and all!) Hope everyone has a great Halloween, whatever you're doing. Stay safe!!
