Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone can help me with Amy's Asylum of the Daleks belt. Since the piece was never IDed, I'd like to know what the other AotD Amys here did for theirs. I've been thinking of commissioning it since I don't know much about making custom pieces, but I have no idea where to start. I have my first con outing coming up in a little over a month, so I hope I'm not cutting it too close if anyone has commission suggestions. Thanks

I had a friend of mine who does some leatherwork do mine since he owed me a favor, but I would suggest looking on Etsy or DeviantArt if anyone does commissions? I can give a few hints if you think you might want to try making your own as well: he actually used bits of silver-painted leather instead of metal squares, and from far away you can't tell at all. I've attached a photo of just the belt, as well as an ancient photo of the outfit (before I had the SA dress/proper coated jeans/different boots), but it gives a pretty good idea of where it sits. I hope this helps a bit, and good luck!

That belt looks amazing! I'll definitely look at Etsy as I'm sure there must be some artists there who take leather piece commissions. But if I do make my own, I think I'll definitely try out using leather pieces instead of metal - the results look really great and it'd probably be easier to get than the metal. Thanks for the advice!
