As I eye my next project, I know I'm going to need fabric from Spoonflower, but I am unsure about which fabric to choose and what the quality is like as I have never ordered from them before. I want to make Clara's Nightmare in Silver skirt using this pattern. Any recommendations on what fabric to get?

I would get test swatches of Basic Combed Cotton, Performance Knit, and Sateen first and see which one comes out the brightest because that prints pretty dark on the Kona, like you can barely see the design. As far as how the fabric of the actual skirt feels Sateen or Performance Knit seem to be pretty close.

That is actually a pretty nice pattern! I'm waiting for the new autumn fabric to come to my town store to see if there's anything similar ^_^. Spoonflower is a little way out of my budget! If I don't find it, I may afford for this! And I think the basic cotton should be fine! It would be the one I'd choose, but it really depends on the money you have for this ^^

I've bought from Spoonflower, and am not all that impressed with the quality of their fabric for the price. Their Kona cotton feels very stiff and cheap. I've also heard a LOT of complaints that it is prone to premature fading, and other issues.
