I myself don't make my own costumes as I am terrible with a needle and thread and couldn't grasp Textiles when at Art College. I think people that do make there own costumes are bloody talented and I understand alot of hard work and hard craft goes into making them. It took Steve Ricks 3 years to make his perfect replica of the Sixth Doctor coat and boy does it look great. Better than the Clothears version. In fact the best replica I have ever seen. I was wondering if someone could make me the cream safari jacket the Seventh Doctor sports from Time and the Rani - The Greatest show in the Galaxy. I can pay through paypal no problem. I was looking at spending about £145 for this jacket. But seriously I do respect people that make there own costumes for there cosplay and you must feel a huge sense of achievement when wearing your costume you have made all finished and off to show the public. So do you make your own costumes?

Doctor Who costumes, no, it's all stuff I've bought.
As someone who's been acting for... uh. 14 years? I have loads of experience with costume-making, actually, and it's a matter of time till I make my own DW costume as well.... I just need to figure out WHAT I wanna do first.

I love acting and did do a Performing Arts course back in 2004 for 2 years. Acting's great, I have great stage presence.

If I can't easily source it, I build it. I do a lot of aging, alteration, dying, etc. as well. I'm looking forward to the Victorian Femme Eighth Doctor as it is going to be completely made from scratch, including corset and bustle. It'll be a fun project.

Well I started a Femme Doctors thread like I did on Gallifrey Base. I helped to make a custom Oswin Oswald belt and watch for my girlfriend, and I make a few Tenth Doctor props too.
