So I wanted to cut my hair and style it like David Tennant's in Doctor Who. The problem is my hair is super curly/afroy. If I cut it short do you think it wouldn't have enough of it to curl and would be fine? Or if it did curl do you know of any products or something I can use to straighten it? Please help me. I really want to do this and I want it to look good.

If it's really curly, like curly up to the roots then it'll still be that curly when cut (mine is anyway ). If it starts out sort of straight and then gets curly down the length of your hair then it may not curl up and just be wavy, maybe. You can use a straightener I guess to straighten it out or blow dry it out straight while using some straightening serum or cream. Not really sure on how you could straighten it if you would need too.

I have pretty curly and frizzy hair and hair straighteners work pretty well for me, though every few months I also chemically straighten it. I'd probably suggest trying a hair straightener first to see how that goes, though if you haven't cut your hair yet you should keep in mind that it might act a bit differently once short. Also I'm not sure how helpful it'd be for you, but you might just go look for tutorials on youtube or whatever for Tennant hair and see what works for other people. You might not find a lot of people with the same hair type, but it might give you an idea of where to start experimenting. Also, I suppose asking someone who works with hair professionally might also help a lot.

Mine's not curly, but I found a stylist locally who is fantastic at cutting mine just right for my Ten cosplay. Brought her a half dozen reference photos, and walked out with the perfect cut, and even styled perfectly. It's currently growing out again, mostly cause I'm frustrated that I haven't been able to get the fabric for my suit yet.

Yeah even my cousin’s family have same issue. My brother keeps on getting them cut now and then but when it comes to my sister, he has purchased couple of flat irons and keeps straightening her hair regularly.
