Okay so there is going to be a Doctor Who event in Durham,NC and I am going. But I am having problems deciding on my cosplay. I am between Femme Nine, Clara, or Sarah Jane ( which ironically, my name is.). I am short about 5'2 and I love those three characters but I want to try something new. I have cosplayed as Clara at another event. Any ideas?

Sarah Jane is so seldomly done, so it would be nice to see you do her. But I woukd say pick the one that you feel a connection to. That's how pick mine.

I'd say either Nine or Sarah Jane, as Clara is probably the most cosplayed companion at most current events. But yes, go for whichever you feel the connection to.

Thanks guys . I think I will come up with outfits for both and try them on and see which one I like more.

Clara isn't a commonly cosplayed companion (every event I've been to this year I've been the only one!) Oswin, on the other hand is a different matter

I tried on my Femme 9th Doctor outfit and fell in love. I was so empowered by it. Only question now is should I leave my hair done or pull it into a bun. I have medium length curly hair.

Straighten it and pull it back in a ponytail. I think that would really work for the character!

Personally for Nine I'd say go for a hairstyle that looks practical, no fuss, and is really more functional than "hey look I did my hair all nice". I think I'd pretty much also say a ponytail or a bun, or maybe you could even just leave it down.

It is very hard for my hair to stay straightened, it is super stubborn. So I am thinking about just pulling it into a ponytail and bobby pinning any loose ends.
