Laura from the Journeys in Fandom Podcast is looking to do a video project to celebrate the 50th. The plan is to do a 'What does Doctor Who mean to you video', we need your help to do it! What I'd love for you all to do is a) take part and b) spread the word as much as possible here's the website link: journeysinfandom.com/2013/10/doctor-who-anniversary-project/Here's the details: "You may have noticed that the JiF team are pretty fond of a little show called Doctor Who, that just happens to be turning 50 this year. To celebrate this, we’re putting together a project to see how the show has affected its many fans – and we’d like YOUR help.
We’ll be grabbing willing people to film at November MCM Memorabilia in Birmingham, but we want to include as many people as we can, so we’re opening this up to everyone who can access an internet connection.
All we want is you to answer a simple question – “What does Doctor Who mean to you?”
The rules:
- Grab a piece of A4 paper and write on it what Doctor Who means to you.
- Film a short video of you holding the paper – we’ll only be including 2-4 seconds.
- We have to be able to read the message.
- Make it short and punchy, 5 words or so at most.
- No audio will be included.
- Cosplay, costumes, props, random locations, groups of people are all welcome.
- Email it to laura@journeysinfandom.com
- Get it to us by 21st November 2013.
- Spread the message.
- Sit back and await the final results
Thank you so much to any of you who want to get involved."
