Finally back here, though by now I have more than one update (and none really on the same outfit as I'm kind of going along with whatever I find). So new things (all Rose things) at this point are:
-Christmas Invasion hoodie color alt in green. I'm really excited about this and I've just been wearing it around the house (even though yesterday it got to 106 degrees! in April! thank goodness for air conditioning). I should probably strip it and dye it gray but also I'm kind of in love with it and it would pain me to do so. The dream would be that I can find the SA gray in my size and budget, but that's probably a far off dream.
-World War Three pink shirt screen print. It's lovely and beautiful and if I could wear it every day without having to wash it every night (and having the design fade all too soon) I would. Though note to self, juniors sized t-shirts are *tiny* and you should really take possible shrinking into account before saying "I'm only going to go one size up". It does fit, but given the chance I'd still go back and tell my past self to go up another size.
-Empty Child/Doctor Dances jacket color alt in purple. It's loooooovely and warm (but too warm for South Texas summer/late spring/early fall/a couple weeks in winter if we're unlucky) and surprisingly very soft. I've got a shirt that'll work for this outfit on short notice, but I still wouldn't be happy wearing this out to a convention or meetup or whatever without a better one.
-Jeans (as an alt for the s2 scorpion jeans). I needed new jeans for a while so I found a bunch on clearance at Walmart (to be honest I don't remember the last pair of non-gift jeans that weren't from Walmart). And I mean they're nothing near screen accurate, coming from Walmart and everything, but they've got a flare leg, the wash isn't *too* far off, and they were nine bucks each so I am good. Plus I just really love flare leg jeans. I've been making do with bootcut for ages but now it's like I'm back in my own skin. (Just for the sake of thorough record keeping, they're by l.e.i., the style's called something like sophia hipster flare, and the wash is called nara nara.) (Oh! And I got a pair of the same style in black too, which can of course can be an alt for just about any pair of non-slim-fitting black pants in a pinch.)
