So what or who are you currently working on? What is your process for putting together a costume/outfit? Have any progress photos to share? (Part of this may be a ploy to shamelessly share my Femme Eighth Doctor WIP photos..... ) (Bustle, Petticoat, & Overskirt...so. many. layers.) (Will be a parasol tomorrow!)

That's looking great! I can't wait to see the finished outfit!!!!
I'm on the look out currently for a good alt jacket for Clara's RoA outfit. Other than that, I'm taking a break from making new cosplays. Gotta save up for Christmas gifts!

Torchwood TeaBoy that bustle is absolutely GORGEOUS I am salivating with envy. I have no sewing talent, but I'm REALLY good at buying things? I have a whole boatload of Amy WIPs: I'm cheating a little because this is technically complete, but I just received the Whistles top from The Power of Three, (she wears it when the soldiers arrive) and I couldn't be happier, although I'm dying to find someone to cosplay Rory in his pants with me! Two options for Amy's main The Power of Three outfit. The first alt top is actually very chartreuse in reality, where Amy's is much more mustard, but the cut is perfect and it does have very small white dots. The second is more of a t-shirt, but the coloring is better and the spots are more obvious. I'm also not wearing the proper jeans or shoes in either photo lol. I'm looking for the proper scarf and gloves, but The Pandorica Opens/TBB Amy will be done as soon as I find them (I might have to get a different blue tanktop though, because I didn't realize it was v-neck until after I bought it). I'm also fighting with myself not to waste money on proper cowboy boots, since these are more of a bootie. Curse of the black spot. I've got better boots now, and I should find tights that are more pink and less coral, but tbh this was a closet cosplay I threw together one afternoon so it's not terrible, considering. I'm also pretty sure the cardigan is the SA one from H&M, which is neat, considering I owned it anyway. I am now the proud owner of the SA Brogue dress (if a certain Neda Marie ever decides to to post it to me), and I also purchased proper coated denim jeans, AND I have different boots on the way, but this is a pretty good preview for Asylum of the Daleks. I also ordered the SA top from The God Complex and some alt tights, so when those are in I'll have another completed cosplay, and I'm considering Vincent and the Doctor as well. I should probably join a twelve-step program because this is just ridiculous.

lallyinthesky, there is much to be said for someone who can research and source SA pieces. A great skill to have, well done!

Bless your heart, but surfing Ebay for hours while crying over prices should hardly be considered a skill. I was just lucky to find a few unsuspecting souls who didn't realize the treasures they were putting up for bid.

lallyinthesky I'm holding the Asylum dress hostage until I stop being sick and I can be bothered to walk all the way to the post office...

I'm working on a 7th doctor cosplay at the mo. I haven't got that many pieces yet as some are still in the post, but here's what I have so far.... Shirt & red paisley tie. I already owned the shirt & I got the tie from a charity shop while out hunting for 4th Doctor costume bits! Hanky. I got this when I bought the tie. I know it's the wrong colour, but the pattern's similar & it'll do until I get a more screen accurate one. Question mark umbrella. Got this from a prop maker this week & it's really well made. Better than I expected! Hopefully, the official Lovarzi silk scarf & tank top will arrive this week as well as the panama hat I ordered from Ebay. I am however having difficulty finding the right trousers. It looks like I'm going to have to buy the fabric & have them made Then it's just a case of getting the jacket from Baron Boutique & the brogue shoes! I'm hoping I've got all the costume pieces in time for Collectormania 20!

Currently working on a Rose from The Empty Child (did a run home this weekend and picked up two passable jackets and my jeans). Want to do this one based on comfort, spent a lot of time on my feet last weekend in my heels for my Idiot's Lantern outfit. The only things I need to track down from this are the pale blue boots (any Timberland-ish knock offs will do to be honest) and a union jack t-shirt (I'm down the road from Windsor with an abundance of union-jack-everything shops). The boots are proving to be the hardest thing EVER. Bleh. I'd like to do Clara from Cold War based on the fact I love that dress and I have the shoes already (picked up for a wedding a few years back). This could be the first thing I attempt to sew, most of my handmade costumes from my re-enactment days were done by a friend I'm now too far away from looks like I'll be re-learning to master a sewing machine.

Right now I'm working on several different Claras, mostly. With any luck, my BoSJ will be completed today, except for the sweater, as my new dress and necklace should be here at any time. I would love to find a better pair of boots though. The ones I'm using at the moment are boots I bought for my 11, so needless to say, they could be much better. My RoA is *almost* done. I didn't notice until after I got home with the dress that there were spots all over the front, and the seams at the bodice was loose. But a family friend was fixing the seams for me, and I'm picking it up tomorrow with my JttCotT dress (had the shoulders taken up). I would also love to get a better jacket. I use the same one for pretty much all of my cosplays. xD Hide is in need of a better dress (the one I have at the moment is multi-tiered and *frilly* as all get out. Okay, slight exaggeration. It isn't that bad. xD). But once I get a new one, I should be able to finish that one too. And then my 2013 Christmas special. I bought a dress that I'm going to convert into the skirt. I just need a better shirt, a black cardigan, and a pair of boots for it.

@moonflower I bought my BoSJ alt boots from Walmart. They're AWESOME! SO comfy! I wear them nearly every day, and they were only $30

linkI couldn't work out how to add pictures but I had to show this off. This is my recently acquired JttCotT Dress. I love it to pieces, just need to find the boots and bracelet now (I have a friend who deals in vintage items having a look for me) It's a handmade replica, so any thoughts would be nice

madgirlinabox did you look on LJ for the boots? Someone on there is looking to trade them, but maybe she's be willing to sell.
