Goodness! That just annoys me to no end. Someone was doing something very similar with a DotD dress, I think they're asking 125 dollars as the STARTING BID. I think that mine was a little over 40 dollars new, with tags, never worn, bought from ASOS (I found a discount for it).

Some people! And half the time they're cosplayers just like us! They know what it's like to try and scrape together the money for these pieces and still charge ridiculous amount for them. Makes me sick!
EDIT: And someone's bid on that DotD dress!!! Are they MAD!

I mean, yes I can understand wanting to make a bit of a profit, but I don't want to con someone out of loads of money just because it was an SA item. If I ever sell any of my pieces, I'll start the bidding at a reasonable price, or have a reasonable buy it now thing. If it was a handmade replica, I could understand that because of the price of the fabric and the pattern and the time spent on it, but other than that... not really. Not for that dress, at any rate. Clara's Vaudeville and Burlesque dress...I could believe that. It's rare, I don't think it's been found on eBay but once or twice. Same with the All Saints Axelle.
Someone BID on it?! Good grief!

I've seen the Vaudeville and Burlesque got for over £300, the Pins and Needles from Hide go for £107, and the RoA go for £156 but they were all auctions. I've got some really good deals on replicas (my JttCotT dress is a replica and I only paid £50 for it and I got my NiS skirt in a trade) but even then I would understand if there was a replica for £200 on eBay because of all the reasons you mentioned. I couldn't believe it when I had a quick look earlier. That dress cost me £28 out of River Island! Just makes my blood boil

Just a heads up - there are a few pairs of Clara's DotD and Christmas Special boots on eBay UK. Search Topshop boots and changes colour to black and they'll come up. The prices are going a little high but these are £85-£100 boots!

Goodness! There are so many BoSJ dresses on eBay at the moment! I might end up bidding on one of them, just because they're so nice.

Gah! Can't believe I missed bidding on the Sessun jumper! Though it ended up being a bit out of my budget.
