Like it says on the tin, what gets your nerd flag flying outside of Who? Do you like comics, table top gaming, or Sudoku? Do you cosplay anime, sci-fi, fantasty, etc? Are you a food or book nerd? Do you secretly play baseball or football and not tell your typical nerd friends? What else do you enjoy doing when you aren't immersed in Who? Personally, I'm involved with 3 different medival re-enactor and combat groups: SCA, Dagorhir, & Norfolk Living History. My areas of research/portrayal/interest are 10th century Dane (Viking), 12th century Kievan Rus (Proto-Russian), and 13th century Golden Horde (Mongol). I have also always wanted to get into Tudor and Elizabethan study, but it only applies to one group, so I tend to stick to cultures that cover all three groups. I typcially focus on fiber arts (clothing, weaving, spinning, embroidery, etc), food (cultivating and processing), and illumination/calligraphy. I also like to hit people with sticks (and get hit in return). Beyond that, I have been spreading my cosplay wings and getting several projects together for cons, which doubles as materials to rebuild my design and craftsmen portfolio in preparation for grad school. I also volunteer at the local theater as a lighting and costume designer and general technician. (WIP Wash from Firefly) If I have any additional free time, I'm typically playing some video games, catching up on my Netflix Instant Queue, hanging out and playing board games with my friends, and playing whatever table-top gaming I can find. So what do you do outside of Who?

AHHH!!! I love your Wash!!! SOOOO cool!!! Oh man, I have a lot of loves... I am a Star Wars and LOTR nut, as well as a Twihard. I know I might get some flack for it, but yes, I love Sparkly Vampires... (Okay, so I'm not cool with the sparkling part, but you know what I mean). I ended up dating my now husband because I found out his dream car is a Delorean and that he's a BTTF fan. So there's that too, lol. As far as free time goes, yeah I'm a Netflixer as well, and I make my nerdy knits while I watch TV. I also draw, and make movies. I used to be in my church choir before I took over the media department here, and I dearly miss singing. I love to read, and I am working on writing two books right now, one that is about a Library that comes to life, and the other is a story set in the DW universe. I'm going to Wally World this afternoon to look at fabric for my Arwen dress for this weekend's Ren faire I'm attending, so I'll have that to add to my portfolio. I had made an Arwen dress years ago by hand (I didn't have my machine then), but it's way too tiny now

I absolutely LOVE The Chase (ITV Game show), when it comes to other fandoms. I like Sherlock and the Star Trek franchise too. I'm also a bit of a gamer. I love Sonic the Hedgehog and Saints Row. ^^ As for real life, I'm also a performing arts student, so I love to act and sing.

With Sonic I prefer the name Dr Robotnic not Dr Eggman. Absolutely! I grew up with the Sonic cartoons and I loved it when Sonic called him Dr. Ro-butt-nic lol! Great memories. Hubbs and I watch it on Netflix now as a guilty pleasure.

Where to start, where to start... Other than Who well: I'm a wargamer and model marker. Have been for the last 20+ years. I'm a big Batman and Superman fan, big fan of graphic novels. Non Who cosplay, Scarecrow and Benedick (Gotta love a bit of Shakespeare cosplay!!) I'm a big Crow fan and this year I managed to meet James O'Barr (for those that don't know he wrote it) Love the X-files (especially Gillain Anderson!) And finally, I love anything to do with zombies

Ah, what is this "other than Who" thing of which you type? That show never stops filling my tiny little mind. However there's also room for DC Comics (Superman mainly), Supernatural, Sherlock, and I'm becoming a BIG LOTR fan. I also manage a few pages on FB, and review DVDs for some websites.
I rarely go out when I'm not eventing. I have a HUGE fear of going outside and of crowds and people, and if I'm not Doctoring you'll rarely find me out and about. I do sometimes venture to London with a few of my friends for tea and Forbidden Planet.

"Nonsense time for a quick adventure then back for tea" - as the Seventh Doctor said in Dragonfire. I love meeting friends for tea. We're lucky to have a Forbidden Planet here in Cambridge.

I used to be a medieval re-enactor too, it was a pretty cool hobby. I also used to be a Warcraft player but my subs ran out in February and I never bothered to renew them, apart from WoW I'm pretty shocking at computer gaming. I love history, anything Wars of the Roses or Tudor based really gets my nerd-senses tingling (I once had an argument with a Beefeater in the Tower of London...turns out I was right he was wrong). I think science is cool, I can tell you some pretty random facts about Sharks (I did 2 years of a Biology degree before I deferred to the subject I ended up graduating in). I'm also a photographer, so show me some camera shinies and you've pretty much got my attention. I'm a dancer as well but I'm not sure that counts as nerdy/geeky unless it's within dance circles.

Oh. My. Gosh. WASH! That's just amazing. I'm actually hoping to put together a Kaylee outfit for Halloween. I'm a big fan of most TV shows. Sherlock comes to mind. XD Also, huge Marvel fangirl right here. I watch those movies pretty close to religiously. Agents of SHIELD is probably my favorite show at the moment, since Who isn't on until November. XD But yeah, I love Marvel comics and movies. I write a lot, usually fanfics, crossovers most of the time. Wholock, in particular. I've tried doing NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writer's Month), but it hasn't ended well. I'm taking a drama class this semester and I love it. I would really love to get more involved in it. In my class we're about to finish up improv and move onto more serious works, which (hopefully) means Shakespeare. I love Henry IV and Henry V. I am very involved in music. I've taken piano lessons pretty close to all my life and I play keyboard in our youth worship band.
