Debuted my JttCotT cosplay night at youth group. I was pleased to discover that someone actually recognized me, considering it was just wearing the outfit to church. The hair is a pain. How her hair was like that... I don't understand. My hair needs to be thicker for that!! I don't really understand, seeing how my hair is about the same length/thickness as Jenna's.

I'll see if I can convince my sister to take a couple of pictures of my real quick.

Sorry about the horrible pictures. My sister couldn't take pictures, so I had to settle with taking them myself. I still need to add a collar to the dress, and add a buckle to the knot on the side of the boots. I've had the dress since... June, I suppose, but tonight was the first time I've worn it. I'll try to get some better pictures tomorrow, and actually make my sister take the pictures instead of using my phone. xD But I'm pretty proud of it. _

My sisters training to be a hairdresser so I'm going to get her to have a go at it when my hairs long enough. I know enough to say its a series of small twisted sections with the sides twisted and looped around the main section at the back. I think to make the back section you have to twist the hair until it starts folding in on itself and secure it with a hair pin. Hope that helps a little

I never thought to twirl it under it folds in on itself. I always just twirl it into a bun. That might work better. I'll have to try that.
After watching the 50th, I really want to do a 50th Rose cosplay. I didn't like it just by itself, but now I really love it. The boots will probably be the hardest to find, since I can't spend a lot. I'll have to hit up the thrift stores soon and try my best to get some decent alts. And considering how distressed and worn it is...definitely don't want to spend a huge amount of money on it. xD

My Hide cosplay has finally come together! I'm overall pretty happy with how it turned out. I wish the parka was a bit more navy, and I need a pair of wedges instead of boots, but I like it. It's also probably my cheapest cosplay. The dress was 8 dollars without shipping, the satchel was 9, the parka was 12, and I think the blazer was about 6. The entire outfit was only a little bit more than my BoSJ dress! xD

It's great! Just needs one thing! I've found out that in the episode Clara wears a very small necklace of an owl face in gold. They had the full costume at the official Convention so I was lucky enough to get a good look at it

Ooh, that's great! Thanks for letting me know. I'll have to keep an eye out for one.

I didn't even notice it until I saw the costume at the con. I then looked on the publicity picture and it's only just visible because it's so tiny. I have a complete OCD when it comes to screen accuracy so it would bother me not to have it lol. Maybe try hitting up eBay for one

I have a craft store at the end of my street. I'm going to stop by there in the next few days to see if I can find some good charms for necklaces. I'll let you guys know what I find.
In other news, I really need help. I need to stay away from eBay. I just got a color alt of Clara's Sparkle and Fade cardigans - the green one. I managed to get it for 10 dollars, including shipping. I'm hoping that it fits, because it's a small. But I'm thinking it will? The measurements that they gave make me think that it'll fit. And I'm just an inch or two bigger than the size chart on UO says for a small and I'm trying to lose a few inches anyway. Still, I'm so excited!

Even if it doesn't fit, I'm sure you can ask around on here and there'll be someone interested, so there's no harm in at least trying!

My aunt gave me a pair of black leather heeled boots that'll work nicely for Time of the Doctor/DotD and I'm so thrilled because I was just about to order a pair! And a super soft leather jacket that I can use for DotD instead of the one I had earlier. Still hoping to find a better alt for it (gotta run out to some thrift stores soon...), but it'll also work for a couple other cosplays I've got in mind.
