Well here in the UK its already Autumn/Fall weather here. I myself don't mind very early Autumn/Fall its when it gets after mid October that I really start to hate it. The weather gets much colder and the days very much darker. I really hate it when the clock goes back at the end of October (the last Sunday) an hour. That means from then on its pitch black at about 5pm ish. In December its pitch black at about 4:15pm. That I find very depressing. I have to have a special S.A.D lamp as I suffer with S.A.D. I will probably use this from about mid October onwards. My favourite Season is Spring. I love the flowers and the fact its getting lighter. My favourite time of the year is mid April. Its normally quite mild and its quite light as well. I really don't like early/mid winter as I find Christmas hard to get through as it triggers lots of emotions for me to do with my family as I find Christmas is to do about spending time with family and I myself do not have a good relationship with any of my family. I like February as the days are starting to get lighter (for me I notice this). I would hate to live in Norway in the Winter as its dark nearly 24/7. That I really couldn't cope with. So yes my favourite Season is Spring. Summer is good as well but sometimes I don't like the very intense heat we get here. Its different from the heat you get abroad like in Spain/South of France/Greece. Mind you going back to Autumn/Fall I can find the different colours of leaves nice but then I think that everything is dying/closing up for Winter. So the worst month for me is December where as the best month for me is April. And isn't it weird as in mid April on 23rd April its St George's Day and around that time is my favourite time of year and of course I'm called George.

Plus in the UK some parts soon are meant to get snow. In some areas of Scotland there has been a light dusting of snow.

I'm Winter guy. I love it cold, dark and stormy. Snow and fog both deaden sound, and I ADORE peace and quiet, so when we get either I'm a happy bunny. And Christmas.. Oh, I'm a complete Christmas junkie. I love the lights, the colours, the ridiculous songs on a loop, tinsel, too much food, all of it. And of course Doctor Who on Christmas Day since 2005!!
And I wear my hat scarves and coats constantly. Even K-9 has his tinsel halo!!

Ours go back on this Sunday. Funny, you guys do it a week ahead of us here in the US, I would have thought that we would have based when we move our clocks off of you all, GMT and all that, you know?

I don't know why we bother putting them back anymore. During the second world war they let them. And I think one year they had them forward two hours ahead.

Weird! I know the reason we do it here in the US goes back to when the farmers needed more daylight for working. I believe it was Benjamin Franklin's idea. I like daylight savings, just because I get an extra hour of sleep that night! I've been looking forward that that for a few weeks now, lol. But I know what you mean, I don't like it getting darker earlier, that's a drawback.

This winter so far has been rather mild. Once January is out of the way I shall feel alot better as it will noticeably be getting lighter. Then by mid Feb the Daffodils will be shooting up.
