given that the Target novelizations of the series were what cemented my fandom in the '80's it saddened me that there were no posts on this thread. SO HERE'S ONE!!!! my first books were the five doctors and the Armageddon factor. this being at a time when books were the equivalent to fans as DVD's are today! there were a few video releases, but cassettes were so expensive then the only real way of seeing any past who, aside from rare repeats, were the limited stories in the local video rentals (for the younger one's among you it's a bit like Netflix, only there's only a few copies available at a time, you have to leave the house to collect it and return it the next day! OH! and be sure to wind the tape back to the start or you might incur a fine!) I know Big finish have done a great deal to keep the program alive, but for me it was the virgin new and missing adventures that saw me through the dark years of no new episodes. furthermore, they also provided inspiration for some stories once the program DID return. do any of you have fond memories of doctor who novels? one of my favourites was 'who killed Kennedy' which sees the doctor aid in the assasination of JFK!!!!

Target book. Write 128 pages and stop :-) I used to get the Target books out from my local library and bought any that ended up in the book sales. Can't remember much specific from them but I did have The Myth Makers so I have read one that isn't available to watch.
Tried to get into the original series of books when Paul McGann started but didn't manage to keep up. Loved Alien Bodies and wasn't until much later discovered what happened with that storyline and Lawrence Miles opinion of Who novels...
