I'm finally going to get around to dying my BoSJ dress. I'm just wondering roughly how much time it took (for those who have done it before), how much dye to use, and what you've dyed it in (because several other things are suggested), and anything else that would be useful to know. I'm hoping to get it done for Christmas because it feels very Christmas-y to me. xD Thanks for the help.

I already replied to your message, but I thought I'd post here because others have had the same question.
The dye you need is Dylon Dye in Tulip. You only need one package. Simply follow the directions and you'll be good. I dyed mine in a plastic basin and it didn't stain it, so that might be helpful to those who are unsure what to use to dye it in. I also used a ceramic kitchen bowl to mix the dye in which didn't stain. It was a black bowl though, so don't hold me to that one. Over all, be prepared to spend about an hour and a half on this project, so do it when you won't be interrupted. If anyone else has any questions about it, feel free to ask!

Any ideas whether hand dyeing is better than machine dyeing Clara Oswald ? I need to dye mine but I'm not sure how to do it!

I hand dyed it. I didn't want to risk it!
