Somewhere where we can post sales and trades of items. I know there are some of us who make replicas of costume items, and some who have acquired cosplay items they no longer want or need. This would help other members out who are looking for these items and would give them a better shot at acquiring them versus Ebay.

As part of the sale and trades board, maybe a third option where we can post if we're looking to buy/trade for a particular item.

What about a place to just showcase our Cosplay? Divide it out in threads, kinda like you did on the FB page, and we can post our pics in each of the threads. That way we can see how others did their cosplays and can ask questions and cheer each other on!

Everytime I read this topic header, I get a Spice Girls earbug. Thanks. Now you have it too, eh? Anywho. Meet-ups/Photo shootsIt would be great to even roughly organize DW-verse meet-ups and/or photo shoots. I love randomly running into people at cons and have that moment of "Hey! We like the same thing as displayed by our common costume, let's hang out!", but having a time/place for everyone to collect and meet would be great. I know I've been to a few cons and never ran into other cosplayers that I would have liked to have met just because the size/scope of the con. Along those lines, maybe test the waters to see if anyone wants to get together for photo shoots. I've seen a few other fandoms rougly organize these, and even get in touch with a photographer or two, to create some really great images. I know I personally would love to have some more 'professional' or posed photos, and getting other people involved just makes it more fun. Room GroupsAs kind of a piggy back off the above, it would be nice to get the community in touch with each other and possibly form up to create room groups for various cons. I know I'm in a few groups for organizing room blocks for a few cons, but there are so many more I plan on attending, but don't really know anyone else going, so it makes room booking difficult & expensive. Finding people with similar interests to organize room shares, or car pooling, or even just a meal or two would be nice. This may be something that can occur within the thread of each Con thread, but rooming with other Who cosplayers would be cool. Research/Sourcing/Tutorial ResourcesI think I mentioned this to Matt Holden with one of the other groups, but I would really love to see a database or other easily accessible resource for people to do their cosplay research and share their findings. I know a lot of people use a blog to document their research (I do), but a more singular space to post and share that information would be great. There are some fantastic sources out there, but it takes a bit of extra cross-referencing and digging to bring it all together. Personally, I find that to be part of the challenge, but I figure the community at large would appreciate it. For example, dw-cosplay.livejournal.com/ is a fantastic resource, but I feel the LiveJournal format is a bit unwieldy and difficult to manuever sometimes. Something more up to date and streamined would be nice.

Funny you should mention meet ups, we were thinking the same thing and have created a thread for it dwcosplay.proboards.com/thread/10/meet-ups

Something more up to date and streamined would be nice. I agree. I can't even access LiveJournal at work for some reason, and I have a hard time navigating it as I'm not someone who uses it. I also love DevientArt, but it's hard to find just one place on there that has pics of a lot of DW cosplayers. I love the idea of us having folders on FB, and it would be nice if we had threads on here set up the same way, that way we can comment and ask about construction and cheer each other on!

I agree I find livejournal difficult to use and don't use it anymore. This seems like a great forum though. ''Nonsense time for a quick adventure then back for tea''

What we've done so far is made a thread with a link to each individual LJ page to avoid the need for navigation. What I hops is that we can use this to build up our own resource
