They've added some more theaters that will be showing it on the 25th. And one of them is an hour away from me! :DDD I think I'm going with my sister and a few of her Whovian friends. If not, I'm going to try to convince my parents to take me. I'll find out tonight who I'm going with/if I am. If I do, I'll probably go as DotD!Clara.

I really want to go, but the closet to me is an hour and a half, and it's a school night...I don't want to come in groggy the next morning I really wish they would add the theater here in town to the list....I even e-mailed them to see if they would, but no go.

Aw, that's too bad. I'm on fall break that week, so that's the only reason I get to go.

I definitely agree. It's a day for loving and celebrating the show (and celebrating our love for it). AND it's only gonna come once, unless you actually happen to have a TARDIS or vortex manipulator or other method of time travel. So if this isn't the day to celebrate however you want (and forget anyone giving you weird looks and throwing around phrases like "unhealthy obsession"), then I don't know what is. I, for one, am not yet exactly sure what I'll be doing on the 23rd or the 25th, but I do know that I will be dressing up as Rose at least on Saturday.

Still no showings close to me I've been looking every day. However, I'll be going to a friend's house to watch it, so that's exciting. I'm not dressing in costume as she's a newbie Whovian and doesn't know Clara yet, but I WILL be wearing a DW shirt

I just saw this posted over on livejournal about the screenings on the 25th run by Fathom: "Doctor Who Fans: We want you to have a fun on 11/25 – but safety is paramount. Please note that attending the event in costume is fine; however, masks, elaborate or face-concealing make up, fake weapons, tools, accessories (like sonic screwdrivers) and other related memorabilia as well as any costumes that conceal what you are carrying, your natural body shape or face are strictly prohibited." - www.fathomevents.com/event/doctor-who-the-day-of-the-doctor/more-info/detailsthe post on livejournal: dw-cosplay.livejournal.com/1711953.html

So, I went to the showing last night. The extras at the beginning were amazing, and then it was so wonderful seeing everything on the big screen. Definitely worth every cent. And the cosplayers that were there! Just such wonderful people. There was a stunning fem!Jack that was perfectly in character. I only saw one River, and it was her Big Bang costume, but she was fantastic. There were so many great people.
I went as DotD Clara, and no one really paid any attention to me except for a couple of times when the promo picture would show up and then a few people would point. One little girl dressed as Oswin was like "Momma, it's me!" and it was so adorable. But after the fact, several people stopped me for pictures. It just felt so amazing.
